SR 75 (US 231/ HARRISON AVE) 3R

Gortemoller Engineering, Inc. served as the Prime Design Consultant providing engineering design services for the 1.1-mile resurfacing project of SR 75 from SR 30 (US 98B) to SR 30A (US 98) in Bay County, Florida. The design roadway design, drainage design, and lighting design. In coordination with FDOT District Three Drainage Staff, the goal of this study was to identify needed upgrades within the right-of-way that would prepare the drainage structures in the intersection to connect to needed upgrades identified outside of the right-of-way. The upgrades included upsizing of 2 manholes and the placement of a 36" pipe across the intersection. The studied basin included analysis of existing urban curb and gutter sections, open channels, and a wet detention pond to model the staging within the system and to determine tailwater conditions. All analysis was performed using ICPR 2D features. The project also included coordination with local maintenance on drainage inventory and adjustment of manhole tops within replaced sidewalk and curb ramps.
